Set Designer | Art Director

I’m Karolina, a Polish-born set designer and art director based in Italy. After emigrating to Milan at the age of 23 to pursue my Master in Set Design for Film and TV, I built a diverse career in the film industry. My work has taken me from Italy to London, Budapest, and beyond, where I focused on roles such as draughtsperson and art director.

Since 2021, I’ve been expanding my interest toward fashion shoots, commercials, and events, seeking to bridge my experience in the film industry with the dynamic and splendid world of fashion. I’m particularly interested in how set design can complement product and fashion collections, creating environments that not only showcase garments but also elevate the story they tell.

Fluent in four languages, I adapt easily to new environments and collaborate well with new teams. I consider myself a pragmatic person, capable of quickly assessing situations and finding creative solutions under pressure. In both design and life, I focus on taking action to reach the best outcome, embracing innovation while staying focused on the goal.

I draw inspiration from nature, especially mountains, rocks, frost, and fog, with a focus on texture, detail, and color, all of which inform the atmosphere of my work.
